It’s expensive to make a movie. The crew, actors, props and filming fees, they all eat away at the budget faster than you’d think, and that’s where the filmmaker has to chip away at expenses. Where modern filmmakers can get crystal clear pictures on their cell phones and digital cameras, filmmakers of the past were reduced to low-quality film. Sometimes, ‘actors’ are just anyone willing to say the lines and the location is anywhere you can get away with filming for a week without filing the paperwork. But there are some movies that defy their budgets and create magic. Cheap doesn’t always mean crap.
